My Review:

Ms. Rabi has a distinctive narrative voice and multi-dimensional secondary characters in My Brother My Rival.  The plot itself was sort of predictable, until the last two or three pages, where she threw me for a loop and I felt like I was watching a train wreck.  I couldn't stop.  I had to find out what the heck was going to happen.  But unlike most cliff-hangers, it came out of the blue, and followed the story.

I was sort of happy about the ending.  I hated Cody, I though he was an ass.  And Bridie came off as a superficial girl in a lot of places, but she sort of redeemed herself in others.  I was torn a little with her.  She seemed really naive in some places, yet street-smart in others.  It was confusing as to how I was supposed to feel about her.

I will read the next book in this series, if for no other reason than to see which guy Bridie ends up with, and if it's Cody, I WILL be pissed.
