Bad For Me by Codi Gary #Romance #ComingSoon

Callie Jacobsen isn't about to open her heart to just anyone. Not so very long ago, trusting someone changed her life forever—and not in a fun way. Now she's better off focusing on her career, her friends, and her dog. So when former Marine Everett Silverton takes an interest in her, Callie's more than a little wary. No matter how charming he is, men are a bad idea. In fact, she's got the scars to prove it. But Everett isn't convinced Callie should shut everyone out—especially not him. He may be a hero to the people of Rock Canyon, but he's got his own demons, and he bets they're not that different from Callie's. Still, he knows it's going to take more than chemistry to get her to let her guard down. Everett will do whatever it takes to show her she's safe with him. All she has to do is take a chance, take a step … and take his hand.

One night, Snow gives in to her desires, but is caught by Marcus' brother, Prince Darien, as he witnesses her indiscretion. Together they tap into a part of Snow long buried.

But Queen Miriam, once betrayed by Snow's mother, sees the same thing happening again--this time with her son, Darien. She refuses to let her throne be taken from her a second time and sets out to kill Snow White. Darien must believe in the power of true love's kiss or lose his kingdom, and Snow, forever.

EXCERPT:
She spins from my arms and drops her chemise to her ankles. Turning her head, long raven locks drape her bare shoulder as she glances back at me. I stare at her naked flesh. Last night in the tunnel darkness shrouded us. Now, in the bright morning light, I see her for the first time.

Her gorgeous hair stops right before her rounded hips. She clings to the oak bed post and eases herself around. The pink of her breasts stare back at me. I swallow hard over the lump wedged at the back of my throat, blocking my words. My gaze traverses the length of her, stopping on the beautiful patch of hair between her legs. All the air in my lungs lunges out of me in a gasp.

“Why are you still clothed?” She tilts her head as a coy smile weaves over her lips.

“Because I cannot take my eyes off of you. Words fail me. They would do no good anyway. There are none to describe you, Snow. Gorgeous. Stunning. Beautiful. They pale in comparison to how my eyes see you. How my heart feels for you. But perhaps with actions, I can show you.” I rush her and sweep her into my arms, squashing her breasts against me.

Crushing my lips over hers, I sweep her mouth, telling her things with my tongue that I cannot say. Soft moans fill our kiss, and my feisty Snow works hard to get me out of my clothes. Hating to unlock our lips, I step back to undo the last of my trousers.

“I finally get to see all of you, too.” She stalks around me like a tiger eyeing its prey. “I like this part best.” She drags a finger the length of my cock, which stands at attention waiting to pleasure her. “But, I also like this part.” Her hands palm the width of my torso. I fight back a smile itching to curl over my lips at her little game. “I really like these.” Gripping my hands, she pulls my fingertips to her lips and kisses each one. “They do so many good things to me.” She makes one final walk around me. “But I like this part most of all.” Pressing her lips to my chest, she kisses my heart. It fills with sadness and love at the same time.

The lump returns to my throat as I fight back choking emotions attacking my head and heart.

“What about my lips?” I ask, forcing a smile over the ache in my heart.

“They are not part of you. They are part of me. They breathe life into me. They feed me words that can never be spoken.” She runs her hand up my chest before cupping my cheek. “They unlock true love's kiss.”

I ease her backward onto the bed and hover over her body. Leaning forward, I brush my mouth against hers. Hard nipples graze my chest, sending a lightning bolt of arousal to my cock resting against her hips.

“These lips can do so much more.” I look deep into her eyes that swallow me whole.

“How so?” she whispers.

“Like this,” I say, before kissing my way down her body. Spreading her stunning thighs apart, I ease my face between them.

“Darien?” she cries out. “What are you doing?”

“Speaking to you in another language.” I pry open her lower lips with my fingers and swipe the
length of her pussy with my tongue.

Didn't read book one in the SnowRose Series yet? UNBEARABLE is only 99 cents right now on Amazon!

My review:

I read Unbearable a couple of weeks ago, and loved it, so I was anxiously awaiting this release.  ANXIOUSLY.  Ms Michaels is quickly joining the ranks of my favorite authors for the short little bedtime quickies I enjoy so much.

Snow's innocence and purity are tempered with the ease of which she succumbs to her taboo desires with the Prince, and the fairy tale ending does nothing to diminish the story.  It's perfect.  One of my favorite aspects of Ms Michael's writing is the way she uses contrasting images and ideas to illustrate the theme, and she does it so well.

At 4:45am on November 17, 2014, Deena Rae experienced a home invasion and brutal attack from the perpetrator.

[caption id="attachment_21304" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Deena in the ICU[/caption]

Deena ICU

Had she not fought her assailant, she'd be dead and her children motherless. The attempted murderer stabbed her four times--in the pelvis, in her torso narrowly missing her heart, in her face, and lacerated her liverbefore running away into the darkness.

When the police came out, the attempted murderer was long gone, and cops say they won't find the perp, because he has a fairly nondescript profile. I find it appalling no efforts are being made to get this dangerous man off the streets before he successfully claims the life of another unsuspecting victim. Thankfully, he failed with Deena.

Had Deena been sleeping that night rather than working the long hours single mothers often do when trying to support a household of four, she certainly would not be with us today. In February, her elderly mother experienced a horrific leg break resulting in surgery, and now Deena, who is trying to still heal from her liver injury, is still trying to work and take care of her mother, too. Her work hours have been cut severely, but the one thing that never gets cut are the steady stream of bills.

Bill collectors have been calling, and the medical bills for the household are piling up. Deena is a generous, loving woman who would do anything for anyone, and it hurts my heart to have to type this request for help. Not because it's wrong to help someone, but because someone who radiates such love and kindness is rare, and the world would be a worse place for the loss of someone so beautiful in heart and spirit as Deena Rae.

Any donations are appreciated to ease the financial burden on her and her family so she can focus on healing and helping her youngest daughter recover from the trauma of seeing her mother covered in blood, thinking she was already dead, before the ambulance arrived.

Thank you in advance for anything you can contribute to help this family during such a dark and difficult time in their lives. Donation button is just below, and even a dollar makes a difference.

How far will each person go to help Anissa's remaining family and other persecuted Christians at risk in Syria? Find out in this stunning sequel to "The Syrian Virgin”.

Excerpt:
“It’s OK, Anissa. We don’t need to rehash that incident now. I’m just reminding us both that – even though you are the most angelic woman I’ve ever met – you’re still human,” he added with a gentle smile, as he lightly put his hand on mine. “So I’m still taking a risk by sharing this with you.”

“I understand that,” I conceded.

“Good. So before I take that risk, I need your most solemn oath that – whatever happens between us – you will never repeat what I’m about to uncover for the first time ever... ” His stare seemed to penetrate my eyes, probing deep into my interior. With so much solemnity surrounding his revelation, whatever it was, I almost didn’t want him to tell me anymore. “Because once I tell you this, there’s no going back.”

I took a hard swallow and braced myself to receive something that I could never share with anyone. “I swear to you, Julien, on the memory of my blessed parents, and on the future of my people, that I will never tell a soul.”

He nodded slightly, as if to acknowledge my vow, and took his hand back. He let out a deep breath, and his hands began to fidget a little, as if he was trying to decide where and how to begin. I put my glass down on the coffee table, wanting to concentrate as much as possible on whatever he was about to say. After a few moments of silence, he finally spoke.

This is a book I wrote over two years ago, and am terrified to go back and re-read after the crap with Neighborly Complications (another blog post altogether - I'm still not sure I want to admit to the stupidity).  At some point, I was going to do a Chef's Delight Cookbook as a companion piece, but money got tight and all the chevre I was buying got expensive.  My kids wouldn't touch food that didn't come from a box, and I shelved the idea.  Now I'm re-thinking it.  It certainly is something I've thought about from time to time, and lately more than ever.  For the record, I did come up with some good recipes inspired by the book, to try on my guinea pigs.

While they look good, the recipes didn't get perfected the way I wanted, and in lieu of putting my kids through the torture of (gasp) trying something new, again, I put it on the back burner.  It's going to come out again, soon.  Possibly this summer, and expanded to include the rest of the Stories of Serendipity.

By the way, if you're interested, I have a small Pinterest board dedicated to ideas for recipes from Chef's Delight.  It was fun.

Here's an excerpt for those of you who haven't read it:

Jessica’s friend Kathy had tried to talk Connor into trying Jessie’s goat cheese before he contracted with the dairy supplier from Tyler, but he had gone with price, not quality.  Jessica’s business wasn’t yet at the place where she could compromise price too much.  Now he was in a bind, he needed her cheeses, and she had already screwed up her chance at a contract with him, once.  She had to make this right.  She just had to.

Jessica had never met Connor.  Or at least, she thought she had never met him.  Apparently, he had bought her a drink last night.  And then, of course, she shot at him this morning.  Shit.  She was so screwed.
Jessica pulled into the driveway, and parked, grabbing the thermal tote and putting a most conciliatory expression on her face before walking in the front door.
“Oh no.  I’m not going back there.  You’re gonna have to fix this one, sister.  He’s not speaking to anyone.”  Kathy met her at the door.
“Ok.  Where do I go?”  Jessica followed Kathy’s finger to a swinging door beyond another doorway.  She took a (hopefully) fortifying breath, squared her shoulders, and purposefully strode toward the door.
At the same moment she was fixing to push it inward, it came open at her, and Connor came barreling out, slamming into her, causing both of them to fall in a tangle of arms and legs on the ground.
“What the hell!”  Connor growled when he found himself in the horizontal position, much to his surprise.  When he saw whom he was on top of, his face turned red, “Get out of my restaurant.”  He struggled to extricate himself from her.  Standing abruptly, he glared down at Jessica, “Leave.  Now.”  His voice was a barely contained fury.  His eyes were an icy blue she hadn’t noticed last night at the bar, and they were captivating.
Jessica couldn’t move, but she could gulp.  “Please.  I didn’t know who you were.  I came to apologize.”

His gaze lingered on her face, noticing how her lips trembled, with apparent shame, and then traveled down her body, seeing her breasts heaving against her tank top, down to her bared legs, under the hiked up skirt she had neglected to pull down after their tumble.  Restraining the urge to smooth her hair behind her ear, he swallowed, thickly.  “Well?”
Her eyes flashed with anger.  Having seen where his eyes landed, she jerked her skirt down and stood up, as a flush stole up her chest into her face.  “You never introduced yourself last night.  I had no idea you were the owner of this restaurant.  I thought you were some creep who followed me home, or something.  I’m sorry, I don’t typically shoot at legitimate customers."  She took a deep breath, and Connor's eyes dropped to her heaving breast again, against his will.  Apparently, she noticed, because her cheeks flushed red again, and she threw the bag she was holding at his feet.  "Here’s your cheese.  I hope it’s what you need.”  She turned abruptly, her skirt swinging up to show a heart-stopping amount of leg, and stomped out of the restaurant.

The Fixer Upper #Romance #Kindle by @anneconley10

New Release from Anne Conley, The Fixer Upper, a standalone novel from the author of the Stories of Serendipity and The Four Winds series.

James, a UK based chef, has tried to make a career with EAT-TV, but his womanizing ways aren’t what they’re looking for with their wholesome family style image.  However, the producers of a new reality show about single life, The Fixer Upper, think he’s perfect.  His agent convinces him to give it a shot.  His overpriced bachelor pad is needing a mortgage payment, and he needs a job to support the tween-aged daughter that’s recently been dumped in his lap.

Margaret Dumas is control freak who has micromanaged her marriage to shambles.  When she makes a deal with her mother to quit fixing her up if she’ll do this new reality show, she thinks she’s won.  No more blind dates, no more friendly advice, no more “chance meetings” with her Mother’s friends’ sons.  The only catch is she’s got to go on detestable reality television and expose her dating habits to a total stranger who is supposed to “fix” her and make her a dating machine.  As if.

When Margaret meets James, they clash on the surface, but deep down they recognize something in the other that they want: redemption.

Excerpt from The Fixer Upper:

She expelled a puff of air.  “You’re the one who’s been telling me to lighten up, James.  You’re the one who’s been telling me to relax my expectations.”  She settled a hand on her hip, drawing his attention back to her jeans.  “I’m not looking for anything beyond tonight.  I don’t want a marriage proposal out of all this.  I’ve already done that.”  She inhaled deeply, and as she let it out, she said, breathily, “I just want one night.”  Her voice hitched and James took a step closer

“One night?  That’s all?”

She nodded.  “With you.”

He could give her one night.  His cock leapt at the thought.

Her eyelids were at half-mast as she looked up at his lips.  He saw her tongue snake out, swiping a band of moisture across her top lip.  An attractive flush rose to her cheeks, and James watched the pulse pound in her elegant throat.

He was a goner.

He tucked a stray piece of blonde silk behind her ear, using the motion to allow his hand access to the rest of her hair, which he sank his fingers in, grasping her scalp and pulling her toward him.

Against her lips, he whispered, “You’re sure about this?”

A needy whimper escaped her as she lifted herself up onto tiptoes and meshed her lips with his.  She clutched at the front of his t-shirt, pulling him closer, and James returned the kiss willingly, but not before turning to Gary with a, “Get the fuck out.”  A smirk was his only response before the camera was off his shoulder and Gary ambled out the door.

Prying her mouth open with his lips, his tongue sank into her depths, swirling around against her tongue.  She tasted like the dessert he’d made, and so much more.  He groaned as his other hand went to her waist and stroked under her t-shirt, finding warm smooth skin pebbled with goose bumps.

This kiss was every bit as good as the last one, making him think of lazy mornings in bed, her naked body crushed against his, kissing just like this.  For hours.  God he wanted that.

As his tongue made love to her mouth, his hands caressed her body, pulling her against him.  Her responses were as fervent as his, her pelvis grinding against his erection.  She wanted one night with him, and he wanted so much more.  But if the night started now, he would make use of his time wisely.

Lifting her, James turned and sat her on the countertop so he could focus better on her, all the while trying to kiss her senseless.

Available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo and iTunes (but every time I open iTunes to snatch a link, my computer crashes, but it's there.)

#NewRelease Blue Moon House: Slave by Angelica Dawson

Blue Moon House: Slave by Angelica Dawson - Limited Time Price of $0.99!

Will has no interest in women. He thinks them all animals to be trained, beaten. It doesn't take him long to discover his preference for men, but time and error reveal how wrong view toward women is. Before long, he is able to separate the way he treats women, which is still horrific, from the way he regards women, as fellow human beings.

How does a slave become an equal? What does it take for a young man to see women in a new light?

In the fourth installment of her Blue Moon House series, Angelica introduces Will, a slave boy from the early nineteenth century.

You can purchase Blue Moon House: Slave on Amazon. Smashwords, All Romance Ebooks and Naughty Nights Press.

Angelica Dawson is the author of Blue Moon House, which has been in the top ten best-selling titles at Naughty Nights Press for over six months. She has also written two short stories, “The Highest Bidder” and “Leave Taking” which were each included in anthologies.
She contributes flash fiction to several blogging collectives and excerpts from work in progress can also be found on her blog. She is active on Facebook and Twitter.

She has been writing for several years and having sex a lot longer than that. Angelica is a wife, mother and environmental consultant. Her love of plants and the outdoors is not diminished by the bloodsucking hoards – mosquitoes and black flies, not vampires.

Here is an excerpt from Slave:

He had just pulled back his own covers when Nicholas entered the room.

“I wanted to know how your evening went.”

Will thought his cheeks might burst from smiling. “Wonderful. Marvelous. Better than I imagined.”

“Good!” Nicholas boomed, hugging the boy.

“It did hurt,” he admitted.

“Oh, yes, your first time usually does. It eases as you stretch. The next time will be better.”

“His wife...she had a tool.” He didn’t know how to explain.

“Wooden?” Nicholas asked. Will nodded. “I can find you one. Even then, it’s a bit awkward to do on your own. I should have gotten you one before now. You might not have torn. May I see?” he asked, cupping one of Will’s ass cheeks.

With another man, or any woman, Will might have been embarrassed, but Nicholas had introduced him to all of this. Dropping his breeches, he bowed over his bed.

Nichols’ finger probed his still oily ass. He touched the point that burned and immediately withdrew his hand.

“I’ll be right back,” he promised, returning almost instantly with an ointment and a wooden dowel. Will toyed with the polished wood while Nicholas treated him.

“There. Should be fine in a day or two. Make sure you oil that,” he said, pointing. “Or you’ll do worse.”

“Is this how it is?”

Nicholas sat beside Will who was still stretched facedown on his bed, turning the fake penis in his hands. “How what is?”

“I will always be treading on another’s favor, entering his house. This...loving men, it’s not proper, is it?”

Nicholas sighed and ran his hand over Will’s head, squeezing the back of his neck. “No. The world values children, and that means men with women. This isn’t wrong, though. Please don’t think there is anything wrong with you.”

“I could never be happy with a woman. Even Missus Brandon couldn’t please me.”

Nicholas squeezed again. “For some, women don’t. Don’t be ashamed or afraid of what you are.”

“I’m not,” he said dropping the dowel on his covers. “I am...lonely.”

Nicholas' expression was sympathetic. “I’m sorry, Will. I’m sorry you can’t find another young man just like you. I’m sure you’ve been trying.”
